Welcome to my personal portfolio, where the captivating moments of wildlife come to life. I'm Rick Zurbriggen, a passionate wildlife photographer based on the stunning Sanibel Island, Florida.
My adventure into photography began in 2006. On a family trip to Africa, I decided to invest in a digital camera and telephoto lens for our picture safari. This experience ignited a passion within me for capturing the stunning landscapes and majestic wildlife I encountered.
I soon came to appreciate not only the wonders of distant lands but also the incredible natural beauty found right here in Sanibel. With my wife, Evette, we took to kayaking and exploring the island, allowing me to discover an array of beautiful birds and wildlife that thrive in our own backyard.
Between our kayaking excursions and visits to the Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge, I've captured serene shots that reflect the incredible moments in time that nature graciously shares with us.
To me, nature is God's art displayed for all to appreciate, and every photograph I take is a celebration of that beauty. My collection of wildlife photographs showcases the amazing creatures and landscapes of Sanibel Island and beyond.
These images are not just for enjoyment; they serve as prints for your home or office, inviting the serene essence of nature into your space.
Additionally, I am thrilled to share that my son, Kyle, has joined me on this creative journey. A budding photographer in his own right, he has a remarkable eye for capturing stunning imagery. Be sure to explore the special section in our gallery dedicated to his work, where you can admire his talent and artistry.
I invite you to explore my gallery, filled with vibrant wildlife photos taken in the Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge and the serene waterways of Sanibel Island.
As a commitment to our community, I proudly donate 25% of all sales to support CROW and the J.N. Ding Darling Foundation.
